The fifty-one (51) Legal Illuminations of Akintunde Esan Online are a compilation of selected Legal Illuminations of Akintunde Esan on
some common Nigerian legal issues published online between 2012 and 2018
on his Blog known as Akintunde Esan’s Legal Illumination to mark his fifteen (15) years
as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, today, 1st of July,2018.
Fifteen (15) years of representing
litigants in Nigerian Courts. Fifteen (15) years as a dispute resolution Legal
Practitioner providing dispute resolution services to clients via litigation
and mediation. Fifteen (15) years as a Legal Consultant
providing online and offline legal advice and solutions to clients on their
Nigerian legal issues and challenges.
Fifteen (15) years
of advising clients on legal issues arising from several commercial
transactions and matters arising from projects and businesses in the
aviation, banking, capital markets, corporate governance, corporate
structures, foreign investment, maritime, mergers and acquisitions, mining,
oil and gas, project finance, project infrastructure, immigration, obtaining
regulatory approvals and permits from governmental bodies and completion of
requisite documentation in respect of same.
Fifteen (15) years
of in drafting and reviewing of
legal documents and agreements on various types of contract agreements such
as Partnership Agreements, Supply Agreements, Construction Agreement,
Purchase Agreements, MOUs, Trust Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements,
Technical Service Agreements, Deed of Assignment, Land Documentation,
Management and Consultancy Agreements, Letter of Employment, Shareholders
Agreements, Software Agreements, Distributorship Agreement and various
Commercial Agreements.
Fifteen (15) years of being a Law Resource
Person providing legal education in seminars, workshops, conferences and
institutes such as Lagos State Law Enforcement Institute (LETI).

Akintunde Esan has not only
been practicing law in the private sector but has also practiced in the
public sector as an Assistant to the Lagos State
Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice where he:
- rendered
legal advice on diverse commercial, constitutional, criminal and civil laws
issues/disputes as well as legislations concerning Lagos State and
Lagos State Government;
- represented
the Lagos State Honourable Attorney
General and Commissioner for Justice at various conferences and occasions;
- prepared and filed Court processes and appeared in Court representing the
Lagos State Attorney General, Lagos State Governor and various Lagos State
MDAs;
- acted
as Secretary providing secretariat support in meetings involving the Lagos
State Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice;
Akintunde Esan has been part
of justice reforms initiative in Lagos State as a Member of the Organising
Committee of the 2017 Stakeholders’ Summit on the administration of justice
in Lagos State, titled "contemporary treads: catalysts for justice sector
reform". Akintunde Esan led Ase Olodumare Chambers Law Firm in providing free
legal consultancy services to fifteen (15) Ikoyi Prison Inmates on the 11th
November, 2017.
